What can and can't be posted on Pitchd (listings, photos, messages).

This Content Policy governs all content published on, submitted to, or associated with the Pitchd Platform. It applies to all Suppliers and Consumers, and to all content regardless of how or by whom it was created. Content on Pitchd must be accurate, honest, lawful, and respectful — this policy exists to protect Consumers who rely on Platform content to make booking decisions, to protect Suppliers whose reputation depends on how their business is presented, and to protect the integrity of the Pitchd marketplace as a trusted destination for services, experiences, and celebrations. AI assistance does not remove a Supplier's or Consumer's responsibility for the content published on the Platform. Read this policy alongside the [Community Standards](/legal/community-standards), [Review Policy](/legal/review-policy), [Off-Platform Policy](/legal/off-platform-policy), and [Terms of Service](/legal/terms-of-service), all of which contain related content obligations.
This policy applies to all content on the Pitchd Platform, including:
This policy also applies to content created by Pitchd on behalf of Suppliers during the managed onboarding process. While Pitchd creates Custom Storefront descriptions, package structures, and other listing content as part of its onboarding service, Suppliers remain ultimately responsible for ensuring that all content associated with their Custom Storefront is accurate, complete, and compliant with this policy. Supplier approval of a Custom Storefront before publication constitutes acceptance of responsibility for its content.
All content on the Pitchd Platform must meet the following standards. These apply to all content regardless of who created it or how it was submitted.
All content must be accurate, truthful, and not misleading. This is the most fundamental content standard on the Platform. Consumers make booking decisions — sometimes for significant events — based on what they read and see on Custom Storefronts. Content that misrepresents a service, exaggerates capability, or creates a false impression of quality or experience causes real harm.
Photos and videos are among the most powerful content on a Supplier's Custom Storefront. They must accurately represent the Supplier's actual services and genuine previous work.
Pitchd reserves the right to request improved or replacement media where content materially misrepresents a Supplier's services or where the quality of media significantly impacts the integrity of the Platform. Pitchd will not impose subjective aesthetic standards but may act where media is deceptive, inappropriate, or damaging to consumer trust.
Pitchd may use AI tools to assist with the creation of Custom Storefront descriptions, package descriptions, FAQs, suggested content, and storefront optimisation as part of the managed onboarding process. Suppliers may also use AI tools to assist with content they submit to the Platform.
The use of AI assistance does not reduce or transfer responsibility for content accuracy. Content created with AI assistance is subject to the same standards as all other content on the Platform. Suppliers must review all AI-assisted content before approving it for publication and must ensure it is accurate, truthful, not misleading, and current. A Supplier may not rely on the fact that content was AI-generated as a defence for inaccurate or misleading information published on the Platform.
Reviews are one of the most trusted signals on the Pitchd Platform. Their integrity is critical to consumer confidence and Supplier reputation. The following content standards apply specifically to reviews:
Full rules governing the review system, including the review window and the review removal process, are set out in the Review Policy.
All communications sent through the Pitchd Platform messaging system are subject to this Content Policy and the Community Standards. Platform messages must be professional, relevant to the booking or enquiry, and comply with the same content standards as all other Platform content. The following content is prohibited in Platform messages:
Pitchd may access and review Platform messages where reasonably necessary to investigate a complaint, dispute, suspected policy breach, safety or fraud concern, or where required by law.
The following categories of content are prohibited anywhere on the Pitchd Platform, including in listings, Custom Storefronts, photos, messages, reviews, and any other content type. This list is not exhaustive. Pitchd reserves the right to remove any content it considers harmful, deceptive, unlawful, or inconsistent with the values and integrity of the Platform.
| Prohibited content | Examples |
|---|---|
| False or misleading content | Fake credentials, exaggerated experience claims, misrepresented photos, inaccurate pricing, false past client references. |
| Defamatory content | False statements of fact that damage the reputation of any person or business. |
| Discriminatory content | Language or imagery that discriminates on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic. |
| Offensive or abusive content | Threats, harassment, hate speech, abuse, or content designed to intimidate or demean any person. |
| Explicit or adult content | Sexually explicit material, nudity, or content inappropriate for a general audience. |
| Content involving minors | Any content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers children. Identifiable children in photos or videos without appropriate parental or guardian consent. |
| Off-platform evasion content | Phone numbers or email addresses embedded in images, messages designed to encourage off-platform transactions, content that circumvents Platform processes. |
| Spam and unsolicited marketing | Mass or irrelevant messages, promotional content sent without consent, content designed to manipulate search or discovery. |
| Manipulated or fabricated content | Digitally altered images presented as genuine, fake reviews, forged documents, impersonation of another person or business. |
| Intellectual property infringement | Unauthorised use of third-party logos, trademarks, copyrighted images, or branded content. |
| Illegal content | Content that promotes, facilitates, or records illegal activity of any kind. |
| Privacy-violating content | Personal information about another person published without their consent. |
Given the range of services on the Pitchd Platform — including kids entertainment, face painters, party performers, and children's event services — photos and videos featuring children may appear on Custom Storefronts. Pitchd takes the protection of children in content seriously.
Where identifiable children appear in photos or videos submitted to the Pitchd Platform:
Pitchd reserves the right to remove content featuring identifiable minors where consent cannot be demonstrated, where the content appears inappropriate, or where Pitchd has reason to believe the content may breach applicable privacy or child protection laws. Pitchd may request evidence of consent before approving content featuring identifiable children for publication.
Suppliers and Consumers may wish to reference past clients, well-known events, or recognisable brands in their content to demonstrate their experience. This is permitted within clear limits.
Pitchd reserves the right to remove content that it believes may infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, or that creates a false or misleading impression of brand association. Pitchd does not have an obligation to assess the legal validity of IP claims but will act reasonably in response to complaints from brand owners or other affected parties.
Content designed to direct Consumers or Suppliers away from the Pitchd Platform — or to circumvent Platform processes, fees, or protections — is prohibited. This includes:
Suppliers may include their website URL in their Custom Storefront bio as general business information, provided it is not presented as an alternative booking channel. Contact details may be shared through Platform messaging after a booking is confirmed for the specific purpose of coordinating logistics. Full details of what is and is not permitted in relation to off-platform activity are set out in the Off-Platform Policy.
The scope of the content licence you grant Pitchd depends on whether you are a Supplier or a Consumer.
By submitting content as a Consumer — including reviews, messages, and any other content you provide — you grant Pitchd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Pitchd Platform, consistent with the licence set out in the Terms of Service. This does not include using your content in Pitchd's external marketing or advertising.
By submitting, uploading, or approving content for publication on your Custom Storefront — including photos, videos, descriptions, and other Listing content — you grant Pitchd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, reproduce, adapt, distribute, and promote that content, consistent with the licence set out in the Supplier Agreement, including for the purposes of:
You retain ownership of content you create and submit to the Platform. The licence granted to Pitchd does not transfer ownership. For content already used in marketing or promotional materials, this licence survives your departure from the Platform. Pitchd will not use your content in a manner that is misleading, defamatory, or materially inconsistent with your brand or the context in which the content was originally submitted.
For content created by Pitchd during the managed onboarding process — including Custom Storefront descriptions, package structures, and category mapping — Pitchd retains ownership as described in the Supplier Agreement and Terms of Service.
Pitchd reserves the right to review, moderate, restrict, amend, or remove any content on the Platform at any time, with or without prior notice, where Pitchd reasonably believes the content breaches this policy, the Community Standards, the Terms of Service, or any other applicable platform rule or law.
Pitchd does not pre-screen all content before publication but operates a reactive and proactive moderation approach. Pitchd may use automated tools, human review, and reports from Suppliers and Consumers to identify content that may breach this policy.
Where content is found to breach this policy, Pitchd may take any one or more of the following actions depending on the severity, nature, and frequency of the breach:
Pitchd will consider the severity of the breach, the risk to Consumers or Suppliers, the frequency of prior breaches, and any other relevant factors when determining the appropriate response. Pitchd is not required to follow a fixed graduated process and may take immediate serious action where the circumstances warrant it.
Suppliers, Consumers, and visitors who identify content on the Pitchd Platform that they believe breaches this policy are encouraged to report it to Pitchd support at support@pitchd.com.au. Reports should include a description of the content, the reason for the report, and where possible a link to or screenshot of the content in question. Pitchd handles reports as confidentially as reasonably practicable, subject to any disclosure necessary to investigate the matter, protect Platform users, or comply with applicable law. Pitchd will investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
Every Supplier and Consumer is responsible for the content they submit, approve, or allow to remain on the Platform. This responsibility cannot be delegated, transferred, or avoided by reference to the involvement of a third party — including Pitchd's own managed onboarding team or any AI tool used in content creation.
Pitchd may use content, reviews, booking activity, Supplier performance data, event planning activity, and other platform interactions in aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified form to:
No personally identifiable information will be disclosed in connection with these activities except as permitted by the Privacy Policy. De-identified and aggregated data does not identify any individual Supplier or Consumer and is used at the platform level to improve outcomes for all users.
Where Pitchd creates, edits, or optimises content on behalf of a Supplier during the managed onboarding process or ongoing Custom Storefront management, the following ownership and licence terms apply:
This arrangement reflects Pitchd's investment in the managed onboarding model and ensures that the content infrastructure built by Pitchd remains available to support the integrity and continuity of the Platform. Full details of intellectual property ownership in relation to managed content are set out in the Supplier Agreement and Terms of Service.
Content on the Pitchd Platform must not be used to undermine the integrity or operation of the marketplace. Suppliers and Consumers must not use content — including listings, messages, photos, reviews, or any other Platform content — to:
Where Pitchd believes Platform integrity is being undermined through content or conduct, Pitchd may remove the offending content, restrict its visibility, suspend the relevant Custom Storefront or account, or permanently terminate access to the Platform. Pitchd reserves the right to take immediate action without prior notice where the conduct poses a serious risk to the Platform or its Suppliers and Consumers.
Pitchd may update this Content Policy from time to time. Where a change is material, Pitchd will provide reasonable notice by email or through the Platform where appropriate. The current version of this policy is always available on the Pitchd Platform.
