Trust & Safety
The standards of conduct expected from everyone on Pitchd.
Last updated
Pitchd is built on trust. Every Supplier on the Platform has been verified. Every Consumer has agreed to our Terms. The Pitchd community works because everyone in it — Suppliers, Consumers, and Pitchd — behaves with integrity. These Community Standards set out the expectations Pitchd has for every Supplier and Consumer. They are a plain-English description of how to be a good member of this community — the same standards you would expect from any professional operating in any industry. They apply at all times, including before, during, and after a booking, and to Custom Storefronts, messages, reviews, and interactions with Pitchd support. Read them alongside the [Content Policy](/legal/content-policy), [Acceptable Use Policy](/legal/acceptable-use-policy), and [Terms of Service](/legal/terms-of-service).
Everything you put on the Pitchd Platform must be accurate and truthful. Consumers make booking decisions — sometimes for significant events — based on what Suppliers say about themselves. Suppliers accept bookings based on what Consumers say about their events. When anyone misrepresents themselves or their situation, it undermines the entire marketplace.
A Confirmed Booking is a commitment. A Supplier who accepts a booking has made a promise to a Consumer who is counting on them. A Consumer who confirms a booking has made a financial commitment to a Supplier who has set aside that date. Reliability is not optional on Pitchd.
Every person on the Pitchd Platform deserves to be treated with basic dignity and respect. Suppliers are professionals running their own businesses. Consumers are real people planning real events. Pitchd support staff are doing their job to help both sides.
The safety of everyone involved in a Pitchd booking is non-negotiable. Suppliers are responsible for delivering their services safely. Consumers are responsible for ensuring their events are conducted lawfully and safely.
Every Supplier on Pitchd has been verified. That verification is not a one-time event — it is an ongoing responsibility. Compliance documents expire. Laws change. Suppliers must stay on top of their obligations at all times.
The Pitchd Platform is a shared resource. Every Supplier and Consumer benefits from a well-functioning, trustworthy marketplace. Actions that undermine the Platform harm every other person in the community.
| Severity | Possible consequences |
|---|---|
| Minor — first offence, no harm caused | Written warning. Opportunity to remedy the breach. |
| Moderate — repeated or deliberate breach | Temporary suspension of account or Custom Storefront. Loss of verified status or badges. |
| Serious — significant harm, fraud, or safety risk | Immediate suspension or permanent removal from the Platform. Cancellation or other management of affected pending and Confirmed Bookings where reasonably necessary, in accordance with applicable Pitchd policies. Referral to relevant authorities where applicable. |
Pitchd will give Suppliers and Consumers reasonable notice and an opportunity to respond before taking action for non-serious breaches. For serious breaches that pose an immediate risk to safety or the integrity of the Platform, Pitchd may act immediately without prior notice.
If you believe another Supplier or Consumer has breached these Community Standards, report it to Pitchd support at support@pitchd.com.au. Include your name, the relevant booking reference or Custom Storefront details, a description of what occurred, and any supporting evidence. Pitchd handles reports as confidentially as reasonably practicable, subject to any disclosure necessary to investigate the matter, protect Platform users, or comply with applicable law.
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services on 000 before contacting Pitchd.
Pitchd may update these Community Standards from time to time. When material changes are made, Pitchd will notify Suppliers and Consumers by email and platform notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
