For weddings with over 55 guests, It’s a good idea to invest in a 2 or 3 illustrator from my team so we can double or triple the amount of sketches that we can do and guests can take home their sketches before the end of the night. Artists I work with have a style that works beautifully alongside me, creating stylish sketches with facial features, to make sure your guests would love seeing themselves in the artwork.

Live event fashion illustration is the art of sketching people in real time at events like brand activations, product launches, and private events. A live fashion illustrator captures the essence of a guest's outfit and personal style using elegant lines and expressive details, with each sketch finished on the spot as a keepsake. It's a fully interactive experience that combines artistry with fashion, and it's become one of the most sought-after luxury activations for high-end brands and corporate events.
I will arrive at your venue 30 minutes before the start time to set up with all the necessary materials. Throughout the event, I will introduce myself to the guests, or guests can come up to my illustration station, take a quick photo and continue to mingle. Depends on the number of hours, there's a maximum number of guests that can be accommodate during the event, once I reach the capacity, I will put a little sign saying "Sorry, fully booked", if you opt in to my "after-event service", I will continue to take photos and sketch the rest in my home studio. I will then create the live fashion sketches based on the photos. Throughout the event, guests can come up to the illustration station, have a look at how everyone’s sketches look like (that’s the fun part!) and take their sketches home.
Absolutely, and honestly this is one of my favourite parts of the job. Guests are always welcome to pull up a chair, watch the illustration come to life, and have a chat while I work. That interactive energy is what separates a live artist experience from just receiving a printed gift. It gives guests something to do or chat about while they mingle. For brand activations and corporate events where there's a little more time allocated per guest, I occasionally have guests who want to sketch me while I sketch them. I love it when that happens. As long as there's enough space and it doesn't affect the event timeline, absolutely go for it. The goal is always the same regardless of the event format. Every guest should leave feeling like they were part of something special.
A skilled live illustrator typically completes around 8-10 individual fashion sketches per hour. This varies depending on the complexity of the outfit, the style requested, and the flow of the event. For larger guest lists, multiple artists can work simultaneously to ensure more people get a keepsake. I have a team of experienced illustrators and can arrange multiple artists for larger scale or multi-location events.
